Dried Pinto beans are the most consumed dried bean in the United States. Pinto beans have a beige background strewn with reddish brown splashes of color. When cooked, their colored splotches disappear, and they become a beautiful pink color. The 5 gallon bucket holds approximately 35 pounds of pinto beans.
Be prepared and have your food storage on hand!
Each bucket of dry beans is sealed with oxygen absorbers. Each bucket has a tear tab lid which contains a rubber gasket. Our plastic food grade buckets may be reused several times. If stored in a cool, dry place, beans should last 10+ years. In an emergency situation, boiling the beans in water for 20 minutes will kill any bacteria and will still give you some nutrition.
