Dried Navy beans are similar to Great Northern beans, but are much smaller. They are sometimes called "pea" beans because they are similar in size to peas, but they are more oval than spherical. The 5 gallon bucket holds approximately 34 pounds of navy beans.
Be prepared and have your food storage on hand!
Each bucket of dry beans is sealed with oxygen absorbers. Each bucket has a tear tab lid which contains a rubber gasket. Our plastic food grade buckets may be reused several times. If stored in a cool, dry place, beans should last 10+ years. In an emergency situation, boiling the beans in water for 20 minutes will kill any bacteria and will still give you some nutrition.
